Produced on 07/2000 (model 2001). It is the rarest limited version in the entire production of the SL R129 - of all special editions. At the same time, it is the last series, the most sophisticated with the iconic 5-liter V8 M113 engine and a 5-speed gearbox.

In 2000, Mercedes built 20 cars to celebrate the return of F1 to the USA. All cars of this edition were presented at the Grand Prix of the USA in 2000 (Indianapolis) and then went to selected Mercedes-Benz dealerships to be sold only at various charity auctions. Each car was sold significantly more expensive than the price of a a regular SL500 at that time. This limited edition was also the forerunner of the last version in the history of the SL R129 - limited edition Silver Arrow from 2001, that we also have for sale in perfect condition.

The car has the AMG SL1 and SL2 packages and special distinctive equipment for this edition:
- 18 "AMG monoblock wheels,
- Xenon headlights,
- Special two-tone silver and black interior,
- Leather steering wheel two-tone,
- Two-tone leather gear lever,
- Silver interior panels,
- A special silver speedometer,
- Black perforated leather seats,
- Aluminum pedals,
- Chrome body accessories,
- Formula One Edition emblems on the fenders,
- More efficient braking system,
- Soft top in a special gray color,
- There is also a panoramic hard-top,

The car is accident-free, in excellent technical and optical condition - it looks great inside and outside, car drives like new. The SL comes from the private collection of the R129 enthusiast and expert. All vehicle components are ready for operation and functional. The car looks absolutely fantastic! After the car was brought to Europe, according to the standard and experience of the owner, a comprehensive inspection, maintenance, servicing of the car and the replacement of many components with new ones (regardless of the perfect technical condition of the vehicle) were carried out. Everything on branded and original Mercedes parts. The car impresses with its technical and optical condition, it does not need any financial contribution.

Below is a list of what was done in the car after it was brought to Europe:
1. All fluids and oils in all systems are changed,
2. All filters replaced,
3. New shock absorbers, rubbers, connectors, tips, pillows, stabilizers, etc.,
4. New brake discs and pads,
5. All roof cylinders disassembled and completely regenerated,
6. Disassembled pumps from the roof and regenerated, got new seals, O-rings, etc.,
7. All locks, bolts, etc. on the roofs were dismantled, regenerated and preserved,
8. All belts in the motor and in the pulleys have been replaced,
9. All candles new - iridium candles,
10. The soft-top roof is new, windows, spoilers + all cables, tensions, glass ribbons, etc.
11. The roof is impregnated several times with professional impregnation,
12. All body seals have been preserved,
13. The interior was washed, all seats were then dismantled, serviced (including motors, belts, tensioners), everything was preserved, including the leather,
14. All bulbs inside and outside, console, backlight, lighting, xenon bulbs have been replaced with new ones,
15. The car is after the car detailing.
