Deze ongerestaureerde Britse sportwagen is een tijdcapsule die je eigenlijk moet rijden zoals hij nu is. Echter als basis voor een restauratie is de Jaguar ook zeer geschikt.
Er is recent als het nodige gedaan om de wagen weer geschikt te maken voor weggebruik:
- Remmen: nieuwe cylinders, slangen en hoofdremcylinder.
Ophanging: nieuwe bussen, fuseekogels, hoezen, rubbers.
Brandstofsysteem: nieuwe benzinetank en filter; carburateurs gereviseerd.
Startmotor: nieuwe hightorque reduction gear startmotor.
Uitlaat: nieuwe uitlaat.
Deze wagen is uitermate geschikt om in de Mille Miglia te participeren, in historische rally’s en tochten.
Auto rijdt en remt goed, motor start en loopt met goede oliedruk. Originele Moss bak die redelijk goed schakelt maar zoals bekend wel met beleid behandelt moet worden.
Grotendeels origineel interieur, zijraampjes, compleet kapframe. Exterieur in originele kleur met patina…
Chassis en body zijn voor de leeftijd van de auto in zeer redelijke tot goede staat maar verdienen wat aandacht evenals de elektrische componenten van de wagen.
Aan de stickers op de ‘black-plate’ Californische nummerplaat is te zien dat de wagen voor het laatst omstreeks 1970 op de weg is geweest. Na lange tijd opgeslagen te zijn geweest bij onder andere een restauratiebedrijf is de wagen naar Nederland geïmporteerd in 2023 en staat nu klaar voor de nieuwe liefhebber die deze uitdaging aan wil gaan.
De auto komt met een Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificaat waaruit blijkt dat motor, versnellingsbak, body ,chassis en kleurstelling origineel zijn.

This unrestored British sports car is a time capsule that you should actually drive as it is now. However, the Jaguar is also very suitable as a basis for a restoration.

A lot has recently been done to make the car suitable for road use again: Brakes: new cylinders, hoses and master cylinder.
Suspension: new bushings, ball joints, covers, rubbers.
Fuel system: new petrol tank and filter; carburetors overhauled.
Starter motor: new high-torque reduction gear starter motor.
Exhaust: new exhaust.

This car is extremely suitable for participating in the Mille Miglia, in historic rallies and tours.
Car drives and brakes well, engine starts and runs with good oil pressure. Original Moss gearbox that shifts reasonably well but as is known must be treated with care.

Mostly original interior, side windows, complete hood frame. Exterior in original color with patina. Chassis and body are in very reasonable to good condition for the age of the car,but deserve some attention as do the electrical components of the car.

The stickers on the 'black-plate' Californian license plate show that the car was last on the road around 1970. After being stored for a long time at a restoration company, among others, the car was imported to the Netherlands in 2023 and is now ready for the new enthusiast who wants to take on this challenge.

The car comes with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate showing that the engine, gearbox, body, chassis and color scheme are original.

Dieser nicht restaurierte britische Sportwagen ist eine Zeitkapsel, die so gefahren werden sollte, wie sie ist. Allerdings eignet sich der Jaguar auch sehr gut als Basis für eine Restaurierung.
Es wurde vor kurzem viel getan, um das Auto wieder straßentauglich zu machen: Bremsen: neue Zylinder, Schläuche und Hauptbremszylinder.
Aufhängung: neue Buchsen, Kugelgelenke, Manschetten, Gummis.
Kraftstoffsystem: neuer Kraftstofftank und Filter; Vergaser überholt.
Anlasser: Neuer Anlasser mit hohem Drehmoment und Untersetzungsgetriebe.
Auspuff: neuer Auspuff.
Dieses Auto eignet sich hervorragend für die Teilnahme an der Mille Miglia, an historischen Rallyes und Rundfahrten.
Das Auto fährt und bremst gut, der Motor springt an und läuft mit gutem Öldruck. Originales Moss-Getriebe, das einigermaßen gut schaltet, aber bekanntlich pfleglich behandelt werden muss.
